Long Live Harry Potter

At one point in the final movie, Harry's best friend, Ron Weasley says,

"We can end this."

The question is: Does anyone want to end this worldwide phenomenon? I, Kat, have provided some interesting things to know about the Potter books and movies, as a farewell to the group of wizards we all know and love.
  • MOVIES
  1. The eight HP movies took a total of 14 years.
  2. HP's first seven movies made a total of about $6.37 billion, but with merchandising, you get an estimated 15 billion dollars.
  3. The most profitable movie was The Sorcerer's Stone with $974 million worldwide. The least? The Prisoner of Azkaben $795 million worldwide.
  4. When the first movie was made, the once unknown child actors Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) were 11 and 12.

  2. The books have been sold in more than 200 countries.
  3. They have been translated into 68 langauges.
  4. The first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone hit the Brit's bookshelves on June 30, of '97. A year later, in September 1998, the retitled book (HP & the Sorcerer's Stone) hit the American bookshelves.
  5. By the time the final book hit bookstores in July 2007, worldwide demand to learn the story's ending was so great is sold 11 million copies in a single day.

My fave HP Book so far is Prisoner of Azkaban (I just started on Goblet of Fire and its good but I haven't finished it yet, so I'm not counting it) My fave movie is Deathly Hallows part 1, but its probably gonna be Part 2 when I see it. I dont have a least fave movie or book. The series is beautifully written and I give it a 10. The movies do a wonderful job of adapting J.K. Rowling's masterpiece into film and not making it look stupid, so I would give the movies a 4. I'm seeing the final movie in the Midnight release and I will talk about it on Friday or sometime during the weekend. LONG LIVE HARRY POTTER!!!

My fav book is Prisoner of Azkaban (Sirus Black is awesome!).
My fav movie would also have to be HP & the Deathly Hallow P1.
I give all the books a 10.... well, the first half of the Sorcer's Stone gets a 9. ;)
The movies all get a 4.... even though I haven't seen a complete movie, yet.

Harry Potter is my ultimate favorite book/movie.

Long live the boy who lived.
